Every year this game somehow someone gets worse. EA, if you read this, you gotta fix a lot. For one, if your quarterback is not a 95+ overall, they will miss about 25% of short throws, 35% of medium throws, and 70% of deep throws. This is just on AVERAGE of qb’s rated between 75-95. These players are NFL-caliber quarterbacks, but in Madden they play worse than a high schooler. Another thing is that defenders will pick the ball of THROUGH a receiver! The only way to stop it is by pressing the aggressive catch button and having it get knocked out. No defender in the NFL is catching the ball through a receiver… Another thing is that defensive lineman will also just freeze in front of a quarterback right when they’re about to get a sack. I was able to save a video of one of my lineman going untouched and right as he got to the quarterback he just stopped and stood there for 2-3 seconds, consequently resulting in the quarterback throwing a 30 yard pass. Another thing is that awareness doesn’t do anything. Whether you have a 99 awareness player or a 30, every player is clueless to what is happening around them. Defenders will also leave receivers in their zone wide open and guard open air a couple yards deeper, even though there is a receiver literally right in front of them. X-factor defensive lineman are also way too buffed. They pressure the quarterback on 75% of plays. If you have a game where your opponent has two X-factor players, you have no chance at getting even a first down with how quickly you get sacked. Max protecting, double teaming, nothing works against those guys. Another thing is that if you press your corners against a superstar or X-factor receiver, they will get beat EVERY time. Doesn’t matter if the corner is an X-factor, they will get beat. There is also a major problem that has happened to me on several occasions. Every now and then, my offense will play defense and the opposing team’s defense will be on offense. It’s really weird having Bobby Wagner playing quarterback and Aaron Rodgers and Tank Dell playing as defensive lineman. There are so many things about this Madden that make it flat out unplayable. Madden has continually made awful Maddens, in my opinion there hasn’t been a decent Madden since Madden 12. Because of this I will no longer be purchasing a Madden game unless I am told that there have been significant steps taken to fix these issues. Because you would think a game as expensive as this one would be free of bugs.

This is easily one of the worst Madden games yet to be made. My biggest issue is that for some reason QB’s can’t throw anymore. Every now and then the quarterback will throw the ball 10+ yards away from the receiver, conveniently ALWAYS to a defender. It is literally a free interception. I’ve noticed that this happens more often in clutch time as well. This game is so frustrating it’s crazy. Also, EA, what in the world are y’all doing with Face of the Franchise? Did you guys just forget about it two weeks before the game released, or are you really that badly out of cool ideas? My 11 year old sister who knows nothing about football could have created a better game mode. I pray to God even though I’m an atheist each time I play this game that some random glitch doesn’t happen while I’m playing. Can we all please boycott Madden 24? Like I don’t think y’all understand, players literally teleport 5-10 yards in this game randomly lol.
