Absolutely fell in love with this show. Original script - creative stories and characters made it so easy to binge watch. However, season 5 the writers decided to let the media write the script instead of moving forward as other shows decided to do during covid. I have watched several shows deal with the issue and then move forward, but Queen Sugar carried the social issues throughout the season. The political bias that unfolded was almost unwatchable. The audience of this show is varied and it was if the writers did not care who was watching the show but only to make political statements over and over and over again. I am n the middle of season 5 and I am going to try to move forward with the show and hopefully get past the politics and racial statements. Fingers crossed. I will review again when I have completed the show or if I can no longer watch it. Also to add.......the acting is amazing and tell their stories well.
