House of the Dragon holds its own. Episode 1 already more commanding and compelling than GOT’s first I dare say. The character development, costumes, dialogue, and pacing all on point. Enough action scenes, stunning dragons, hints of scandals, historical references, sumptuous cinematography and musical score to whet GOT diehards’ appetites. I’m hoping for a little humor later on but for now I’m already hooked. All hail House of the Dragon.
