Let me save you some time. Movie is about the press trying to get to DC. They bring an amateur who always endangers herself and others. Not a lot of context about the Civil War other than they want to get some pictures and the guy wants a quote from the president. For it being through the reporters eyes, there was still lack of what it was they were covering like a gun fight they witnessed. No idea who they were with, why they were shooting at each other. Just some pictures taken and that’s it. Just a way to watch gore with little context.
