Do yourselves a favour and reads the books. While Chris Pratt could make an amazing James Reece if he was allowed to play the character properly, the rest of this series is a disgrace to Jack Cart’s writing. Massive plot changes, character changes, and holes in the story destroy it. I can’t even believe the author signed off on this absolute dumpster fire.

What have you done 343…this show is an absolute embarrassment. Had such high hopes that somehow, some way we would get a Halo series made by Halo fans but clearly that’s not the case. You butchered every single character in the eyes of actual fans. You completely disregarded all the work that was put in by countless writers and developers over the franchise’s 20+ year history. Sure, it’s not supposed to be canon, but just saying “it’s not supposed to be canon” doesn’t give you licence to put this burning bag of turds out into the world with a Halo title and a Master Chief who couldn’t be further from the character that so many Halo fans have grown up with over the past 20 years. Should’ve just created new characters and a new subplot instead of desecrating the ones us Halo fans know and love. Side note, if you claim to be a Halo fan and you’ve given this a 5 star rating you must either be a bot or a paid reviewer.
