For me, Paulo Coelho and his writings are a great inspiration. He writes stories so literatic that once you pick up his book, you can't stop reading and thinking about it. His books have had a life-enhancing impact on millions of people. Paulo's writings can fill light of hope in darkest room. It gives hope. It makes us smile and cry and feel the emotions we never knew existed.
Veronika Decides to Die is no less than that. Veronica is a twenty four year old girl. She has everything she could wish for- young and pretty, having good relationships, a steady job and a loving family but one day she decides to take her own life and on one beautiful winter's morning she takes an overdose of sleeping pills. Why? That's the main plot of this amazing story.
This story, in one phase or another, connects every human being. Characters like Zedka, Mari and Eduard and their back stories all are so relatable. With a slice of life, this story clearly shows that we as human beings have a definite amount of time and just how precious this time actually is.
Story talks about psychology, spirituality and how these heavy words are so simply imply to every one of us.
Yes, This story also shows that how much our own mindset and way of thinking and seeing things and circumstances can have power and control on our whole life.
Paulo Coelho gave justice to every character of this story. Every other character's story shows how every person has their own sufferings and how they are trying to hold it on. And how one should carry on. Dr. Igor is one of my favourite character because, well you'll get to know when you'll read this extraordinary story. This story is so extraordinary that every other ordinary person can relate to it.
Veronika Decides to Die. The whole story shows how little our time is and yes as always Paulo is just so good with his climax. This story also has a satisfying ending and a too good surprise which can also lead to some tears in your eyes.
