I read both books as well. Any one star ratings here, are just ridiculous. It was a good movie. Casting was spot on. The only thing I would have liked to have seen, was a "if you or anyone you know is suffering from domestic abuse, you can reach out to...." Immediately after the last scene. Most people do not stay in the theater all the way to the end of the credits.
