I thought the movie could be a little longer, just to give a little more background on Lot Six aside from the name drop throughout and the neon colored VHS flashback footage we got, but it has all the elements of the 80's. The John Carpenter soundtrack, the 80's title card and closing credits, even the way the movie was shot felt very 80's and I loved it. Though set in 2023(?) it did a perfect job mixing modern and nostalgia. Zac Efron was fantastic and I loved the brutality of his powers. That's where I am like I wish it was longer so we could've gotten a little more of him in particular. The little actress who played Charlie was PHENOMENAL! She acted her tail off in those emotional moments and I felt terrified of her a bit when she was in pain and her powers took over! I am digging Stephen King books/movies getting a chance again in modern cinema. I saw this film through the Peacock Premium service and honestly I feel it is better as a streamer film over a theater goer mostly because it is so short and the energy of the film and lack of promotion until the most recent weeks I don't think gave people enough time to hype or even find out about the film. I literally found out about this film two weeks ago when I went to see Morbius and this trailer was part of the coming soon, so I can totally see more people streaming this rather than running to the theater.
