1. Bruce Wayne was depressed and sad. He was rude to Alfred in the first half of the movie which was not fun to watch. He was big on victim blaming. He didn't like or use guns yet he beat his enemies after they were down. And he took to much time talking and making cringworthy comments. The worst part is at the end, when the batman instigated a psychotic outburst from the riddler, it was a disgusting act from a man who claims to be just. Batman has always took the characters past into consideration and he never did anything to cause mental distress on purpose.
2. Catwomen was confusing and more emotional than the original. There were situations she got into that should have been easy for her to get out of as catwomen. And her sudden attraction to batman was kind of boring. Along with her out of character remarks about "white male privilege" and assuming batman grew up rich.
3. The Riddler was a little over dramatic and not as organized as past films. I feel like they used simple riddles that the audience could figure out, when really the interesting part about the batman - riddler rivalry is that they were both intelligent and thought in ways the average person didn't. They made the Gotham police seem dull and slow.
4. The penguin reminded me more of a mafia member than his Canon character in the comics and movies. He didn't have many of the characteristics that made him the penguin.
4. In my opinion Alfred was the best character in the film. Other than the fact he made a newbie mistake and opened the package meant for the batman.
5. I fell like the writers took to much time belittling Bruce for being a rich orphan. They embraced the term "money makes everything better." Which in truth isn't true for a child who has just lost their parents.
