I'm gonna start off with what I liked. They did an incredible job depicting not just the armor worn by Spartans but the Marines as well. Both the covenant weapons and the weapons used by the UNSC were pretty on point. They did a really good job on the action scenes and showed how ruthless the covenant are as well as doing a really good job showcasing what humanity was up against. However for me the biggest thing was how far from the games and books it was and I even knew it wasn't going to be Canon coming into this. I had really low expectations but I'm still disappointed. I'm even more disappointed that there seems to be a human in the covenant. I could keep going but I'm just going to stop here
Ok I'm editing this review because I just watched the second episode and am even more disappointed than I was with the first. I read another review and dude was like "I played the games this shows doing a great job expanding on the lore" like what? No it isn't. It's like the people writing this smoked a bunch of crack, set the lore on fire and just started screaming ideas at each other while throwing Spartans, the unsc and the covenant into the mix.
