Honestly this game is rage inducing. The physics are good, the visuals are great, some races are fun, but everything else is annoying and gets in the way of a good experience. Micro transactions everywhere, rubber banding, rolling starts that put you 30 seconds behind the lead car (you need a faster far to even try to win, so it’s not racing it’s a tuning simulator), the rain comes unexpectedly and you don’t have good tire options, some races take a minute to start, the AI spins you out of the track, multiplayer doesn’t work properly… and on… and on… and on… Every time I play this game I end up angry. It says a lot about Elden Ring and Gran Turismo that one game calms me down and another makes me want to smash the TV. Guess which is which.

It's honestly not half bad but it doesn't do anything particularly right. It's got interesting worldbuilding (but then why watch the show when we can read the books if the books do the heavy lifting) but something about it feels off, the characters don't convince very much (there are some exceptions) and the costumes are always pristine when they should be more realistic. This makes for a very manufactured show which would've been better animated, without the constraints of trying to be the next big thing. They also tried to make it more violent than the books and it just doesn't work very well. It's trying to do too many things and it's not working.
