Seems to me it was written by someone from the UK? Some unrealistic elements, like Toronto police investigating in Watertown? Then in Rochester? Implying cities named are close together- Hamilton, Peterborough etc. Great Lakes are much larger than people may envision, these cities are several hours apart. Good story otherwise.
