I don’t even know how to describe this movie other than boring, cringey, and way too long. Seriously, what the heck was with all the singing? This felt like a Disney musical, only worse since this was meant to be taken seriously. They could have easily cut out an hour of the film without taking away any value from the storyline. I was not impressed and I’d recommend skipping the theatre for this one.

Thanksgiving is a fun-filled, exhilarating, and gory adventure that hooks you from the beginning and drags you along for a brutal and unforgettable ride. I can confidently say this is the best slasher/horror that’s been made in a very long time! With a classic “who done it” style, you’re sure to be guessing throughout the entire film. Thanksgiving reminds me a lot of Scream and features a lot of similar elements, so If you enjoy that franchise, you can think of Thanksgiving as its more brutal counterpart - more gore, more suspense, and one wicked plot twist. Thanksgiving is sure to be a new staple for horror fans.

No One Will Save You… from how bad this movie is: Like many others, I had extremely high hopes for this movie after seeing the trailer and how much it was promoted. After watching, I’m left with more questions than anything, the main question being “what the heck was the $22.8M budget used for?” This is one of the worst movies I have seen in a very long time. The effects were horrible, the storyline was choppy and confusing, and the end was disappointing to say the least. Parts of this movie looked like a high school film project, only worse - at times, I actually laughed. The effects could have been much better considering the budget and the fact that it’s 2023. Another downside about this movie is the storyline and the amount of unrealistic events that occur. Seriously, your first line of business after almost being murdered and killing an alien is to shower? Then when you attempt to get the help you desperately need, you leave because of a rocky past? Come on now. The storyline seemed to jump all over and ended up being confusing. It’s still extremely unclear why the aliens invaded, why they chose who they did, and what happened to those who weren’t invaded (or was everyone invaded?). I also found it funny how the aliens were extremely weak in one scene, but untouchable in the next. I am left with more questions than anything. Overall, save your hour and a half and take the lower star reviews seriously. I’m not sure who is rating this movie 5 stars, but I assume they received some sort of payout for it because there’s just no way.

This was probably the slowest, most boring movie I have ever seen. My friend fell asleep, I was dozing off, and there were three other people in the theater (which should have been a red flag). The trailer made this movie look incredibly promising, but I can confidently say that if you enter the theatre with any expectations, you will be let down. Personally, I feel like anyone rating this movie above 2 stars is being paid because there’s just no way…

This movie will grip you from the start and won’t let go until the end. The scenes are brutal and unsettling to say the least, and this movie does an amazing job of creating that gut wrenching feeling that horror fans love. I had to make sure I wasn’t being dramatic so I saw it twice, and it was just as good the second time around. This is probably in my top 5 favorite horror movies now and I’ve seen them all!

I wish I would have used the $15 I spent to see this movie at The Home Depot to buy paint so I could have sat at home and watched the paint dry. On a real note, this movie was incredibly boring and all I could think about the entire time was that I was ready to leave.
