Joe was the only actor in the film. I recall one time when John Wayne said he always plays John Wayne. Kept waiting for Al to say "I'm out of order, your out of order", Robert played the same old mob character he has in all his later films. Remember Taxi Driver, Ragging Bull, those days are clearly gone. As for the story well we all know the story. Just a disappointment to me.
