Baby is a movie which makes me analyse human emotions in all its variations, as the charaecterization, the screen play, the brilliant performances by every artist present on the screen, excellent direction. As I feel Vaishnavi and Anand loved each other. Their love is more of friendly, than romantic. Vaishnavi, an intelligent girl of humble origins aspires for what a present modern girl wants, a liberated woman, who has no inhibitions to drink, smoke, dance,and dress, enjoyes mixed company and dancing. But she did not understand what a boy friend is and does.. Her fater and her boyfriend one Anand warned her she did not listen. She Boyfriend one abused her, she could not understand the love behind it. But the love of Anand makes him beg for love, she thought her way of life is vindicated.At this point they could have broken their love. When she kissed her boyfriend out of lust and decreased inhibitions due to alcohol, her boyfriend two assumed her to be his girlfriend.Vaishnavi, l valued iPhone over the mobile presented by boyfriend one indicates her trivialising the sacrifice. When her boyfriend two absued her, she returned his gifts. She could have broken their relationship at this point. But she got apology she agreed to continue the relationshiagreed upon month of mutual company, she even took the blessings of his parents. She was afraid to confess her kiss to Anand but believed her sleeping with her senond boyfriend will help her keep her secret.At this point she deceived her self. But when she lost her virginity, boyfriend two what's her as his wife. But she is not agreeable to that.She kept two compartments hoping to isolate them. She confessed her sleeping to her discobatch which was recorded.She realised her self deception .She thought brushing teeth removes lusty kiss and tking a bath will restore her virginity. Here the divergence with Anand is noteworthy. He refused to go to a prostitute, saying he can not deceive himself. Though killings were his first emotion, he could not destroy the beauty. Other boy friend could not kill her as he understood the love of Anand. To the very end Vaishnavi kept on self deception, resulting in her attempted suicide. Though she was more of a culprit, law beat the boyfriends, even krippling Anand. Vaishnavi felt remorse and suffered great pain. But Anand was devasted to depths of his soul and he expressed his living hell when all that Heroin can say is her love is true, ands wants him to forgive and forget. Her understanding of love is superficial. Anand says don't you think of me when you are sleeping with another man. But she could ware red saree presented by Anand, went to the other man in his Auto , Making him believing it's all for his love. As an elderly man I could not bear the scene. No lover, should be made a broker this way even by a loose wome. In Devadas movie the writer asks no man should meet an end like this. But No Lover should meet the living hell like Anand. Vaishnavi found new conventional family. At least she came out of her trails and tribulations with scars, nodoubt, bot not festering wounds. Nagababu played a sensitive father role, doing proper things at proper times, supportive to his daughter, and also to the boys. This movie could be teacher to the younger generations, correctly portraing various emotional states, and value system, neither complaining nor judgemental.
