Things In Jars was an absolute delight!
I am (almost) glad to have been forced to read Dickens 50 years ago so that I could appreciate what a gifted and imaginative writer could do with the "Dickensian" milleau.
I'm buying copies for friends (and one for myself), and am headed straight to the library to check out Himself.
