While the premise of the film is different with it being a supernatural horror, I understand this is more a personal choice that can influence the rating. And as I'm fully aware with horrors they're 99 percent made up. But for me while I do like the storyline. It is different, but to much of a reach. Having dead spirits be able to communicate through the phone, just didn't cut it for me. Solid storyline and Ethan Hawke playing the villain well. Not a bad film. But personal choice 3/5

If possible this would be zero stars. It lost me in five minutes with an absurd scene of the lead able to be submerged under water with no oxygen tank for several minutes and then, caught up in a net on the sharks fin and pulled arguably hundreds of feet down. To somehow swim all the way back up.... Followed by a box ticking exercise, a woeful plot, and an ending that's quite honestly embarrassing. Don't waste your time!

One of the worst films ever created. In principle I appreciate what's trying to be said, but it's basically a man bashing experiment where it doesn't even leave the women characters looking strong. It's not funny. The plot is poorly executed and it's just cringe the whole way through. In 2023 where there is equal rights this attempt at women power is man bashing. If this was the other way around imagine the backlash
