Priyasakhi movie was one of my favourite in childhood as we all love Maddy during that time and that made me think that Maddy was the genuine guy and Sadha was the villain in their relationship..... But it was all a setup made by the director by making Madhavan play the role of Sakhi to make us think that way.... As a grown woman now I could feel what Sadha had to go through because of their marriage..... She was cheated in the name of love..... She got into that relationship because she was manipulated by Madhavan into believing that he was the perfect man for her but what Maddy did there was he made her fall in love with him and then tried to change her according to his wishes..... What a male chauvinistic behaviour potrayed in the name of love..... And what sadha said was absolutely true how could she go through the process of pregnancy if they had frequent fights..... How could a person undergo physical and mental trauma at the same time..... But even that decision was not in her hands eventhough her body carries the child just because of the fact Madhavan was the father..... And the most worst part of the movie was Madhavan insulting Sadha's dad repeatedly for Sadha mom's mistakes..... How could he expect Sadha to respect his family when he was not giving the same..... In my point of view Sadha's dad was a very genuine character in this movie not because he was following his wife's words..... But because of the fact he married her knowing what her character was and not changing her according to his wishes and he lived with her all these years but atlast Madhavan made him change too..... And the most irritating part in the movie was the climax scene where Madhavan silenced his whole family in sending Sadha off to her home..... That was the most common character of all married men where they have their way in their wishes despite of their family denial but when it comes to his wife's choices and needs then there comes the family, culture, his mom, dad, his grandparents etc...... What a wonderful way to potray a MALE CHAUVINISTIC CHARACTER.....!!!!!!
