I don't hate it, but I see why people would. Released in the States in 1991, it's a little bland in the story and characters. The music is mostly awful, especially one of the battle themes. Some reason, I just can't hate the game outright. The multi-generational gameplay was interesting (who I choose to marry gives me a new character to play as in the next chapter), but character involvement is next to nothing so... kinda hard to care, but I guess it's one of those RPG's where that isn't the focus. Easily the weakest of the 4 Genesis games, but not terrible depending on whom you ask.
