It's gorgeous graphically, and for a period of time there's a great deal to do. The ships require skill to pilot, and each new model is slightly different so that there's a learning curve. it feels very 'real'. As you play, though, there's less and less to actually do, missions become repetitive, and there's a substantial chunk of the playerbase that is actively toxic. Not all - there are certainly a lot of good eggs, but there's also a higher-than-usual number of griefers, wanna-be "pirates" and other trash players usually only seen in EVE. Once the base mechanics are mastered, there's basically no challenge left in the game.
