I expected to be disappointed, but not this disappointed.
I had done my research on the switch game before purchasing it as it was $25. Most of the comments mentioned that it wasn’t really user friendly (you have to use a cursor/tap to choose things), and that the training point system was impossible to work with.
My personal findings were similar. My fiancé bought me this game because despite the reviews, I couldn’t stop thinking about trying such a cool concept of a game. Dogs + Dating? Perfect combo.
This game relies solely on dialogue, no real actions or movements. In my opinion the choices for people to date weren’t good at all. And when you go on “dates”, you don’t get to change clothes for the occasion, sometimes it doesn’t even feel like a date. The puppy academy is easy if - like me - you only found 2 of the people interesting and could use points towards increasing dog points.
Also: interacting with the dog is literally tapping its face basically. I repeat: tapping its face.
Also there is a shop for exotic pets that they keep mentioning, but you never get to go there. Never get to buy anything. You own one dog, for 3 hours - and then you’re done.
I was super annoyed when it took me like 3 hours to complete and the ending was an ultimate rip off. It just ends, no chances to continue and free play, see where the UNFINISHED relationship could go. Ugh.
Side note: the quality of the game is not bad at all, the graphics are beautiful, the characters are unique and attractive in their own ways etc.
