The setting reminds me of The Hunger Games, and although there a numerous dystopian fantasy novels, the storyline and characters of The Bloodwood Society are completely original and offered me a fresh new taste from the dystopian genre. The story follows a teenage girl, Everyly Dahl, as she fights in more ways than one to save her family in a tyrant society (you’ll have to read the book for more😉). We are also left with a cliffhanger at the end, which hopefully means there’s more to come👀 if you are interested in YA/Dystopian/Fantasy I highly recommend running to get you a copy!
