The worst book I've read in years. The Pilgrimage offers a lackluster journey filled with unlikable characters and a plodding narrative. Despite its aspirations for profound spiritual change, it falls flat, mired in arrogance and self-aggrandisement. The descriptive language is severely lacking. Save yourself the disappointment and seek enlightenment elsewhere.
