This film is very educational on subjects no one really thinks twice of. You hear of endangered species and their statistics but never really get to see what people are talking about. This film puts all of this into perspective. The Virunga National Park made this documentary to show people how mountain gorillas interact and how all animals should be appreciated and not killed for parts. Congo’s war with an oil industry, SOCO, has caused much stress, injuries, and stress. SOCO has bribed the people of Virunga in order to try take over the park. Emmanuel a passionate caretake of the gorillas has help from rangers that fight for the safety of the park. Many lost their lives trying to save the park against SOCO. This documentary exposed a SOCO’s yet they deny allegations of committing crimes. I recommend watching and really understanding what Emmanuel and the rangers are fighting for. This is important.
