I felt if a version of Batman the animated series was ever made for adults and with more gore this would be it (Note: members of the team that worked in creating the former, did in this one too). Having said that the first season was a really fast paced one and setting the characters and tone up for what it to follow. I just cannot wait for the upcoming seasons and I hope we get at least 6 to 7 of them. The thing that I really disliked about this one was there was no need to swap gender or race of the characters. Hard-core fans might see this as a minor flaw. The thing that I really liked about this one is that it's more noir-ish than the animated series. The style was great. Once this series is over with all the seasons I say this may be very comparable to the animated series and may even beat it. It all depends on what the creators do with the upcoming seasons.
