Unnecessarily long, Nolan has not learned that tension is generally much better created by silence and maybe quiet music than by the cacophonous noise used throughout Oppenheimer and rendering it unwatchable. Dialogue was very often inaudible and given that the tensions were psychological rather than physical, the scenes were often laughable in their amateurism.
It’s lucky to get one star from me but there were many moments in this film when my attention wandered and I found myself looking at the building around me, as well as at least twice when I very nearly walked out.
A Turkey in my humble opinion.
