We are lucky to have been able to see Many Saints!
I have missed these guys so much!
Now, my two cents.
Vera nailed it. The accent, the language, the deception, all of it! An accurate likeness.
Alessandro grew on me and he was convincing…in spite of his “Oooohhhhaaaa” exclamations which sound to me like any generic white guy mimicking an American Italian from Brooklyn or Jersey. Cool juxtaposition from his recent role as an Orthodox Jewish man.
Uncle Jr, I enjoyed him too. I’m sold there as well.
Mr Gandolfini’s son, God Bless! We are so fortunate to get to see him in this role, and killing it! Although he doesn’t have the makings of a varsity athlete, I wish “Tony” was developed more. Perhaps less of the racial climate story line and more young Anthony.
Big Puss…it was wild how much he looked like the the original.
I don’t know that anything will ever fill that void it left in my heart. The Sopranos had an unparalleled Italian American authenticity that I have never seen in any other production (except Goodfellas). There was some of that missing in Many Saints. Did we have to hear the name “Appelonia”?
It seemed cheap to me,
Ray Liotta… I think we are all programmed to think he belongs in this movie, just because! And so, there he was. Twice. Still a fantastic head of hair.
Pauly was very entertaining also. A true Commandatore!
Guiseppina?Bellllllla! Sad to see her go.
Dickey’s wife? She was perfect. Janice /twinning!!!!!
I hope we get the sequel. I totally deserve if. We all deserve it.
What? No F**kin’ Ziti?
