NT is so beautiful. The more outback you go the prettier it gets. This show was able to capture all but about 5 percent of its beauty. Feels like the whole show is shot without light meters - its so dark all the time. You have to squint your eyes to figure out whats going on most of the time. The characters have weird make up, its like they are literally wearing mud/dirt on them. I mean they work in the outback but they aren't all covered in dirt ALL the time. And I feel there is some Americanness added - there is no shot of the outback workers where they are NOT wearing jeans. This isn't Texas! You go out in the NT and you will hardly find anyone wearing jeans. Get real FFS! The story line was mildly gripping - could have used actors with much more screen presence.

Movie was boring. The script lacked pace, is very stretchy and has humour that can be equalled with jokes that will tickle a 6 year old. And showing suicide in movies in todays age? For the love of God! Who tries to create comedy in a funeral? There is something wrong with whoever has written the script. Shahrukh looks so weird. His face looks like a poorly generated AI image of himself. His voice throughout the movie is as if he is constipated. If you are going to talk in Punjabi make an honest attempt in being able to pronounce the words at least half correct. There is only one expression he can wear - which is getting very boring to see on screen. All in all, I think I wasted my time watching this movie.

What a fantastic movie! I was glued to the screen the whole entire time. The characters, their screen presence, the chemistry is probably one of the best I have seen in a long time. Sandeep Vanga has a way with his direction. I like the attention to detail as well - where Rashmika (and her brother) talks exactly like a Telugu would. Ranbir has spoken Punjabi more accurately than Anil Kapoor has - in any of his movies! Same with Freddy and others. The movie tickles some deep corner inside your brain and grabs your attention. Very well made. Kudos. I have only given 4 stars because I think Sandeep Vanga can do better and get more out of what is within himself. I note most alpha male characteristics are similar. The movie has at least some glimpses of Arjun Reddy - which to be fair is Sandeep's movie, but felt Sandeep has used something that has worked in the past. A fair few themes of scenes remind me of the TV show Vikings (Ragnar and his way of doing things). Usage of blood - mostly set into normalcy with Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. I can only hope the characterisation of Vanga's heroes (alpha males in this case) can come from within his brilliant mind and the way it works instead of being inspired. For eg. Ranbir's haircut being a gift to his dad - and only mother acknowledging it - is just an out of this world observation that only a truly sensitive and a father loving person can make. Edit: Just noticed a few other reviews which are upset with the shorter part of Bobby Deol. I cannot believe this is a reason for a lower score! Did the movie entertain you or not? If you are reviewing a movie based on how much screen time a character was given, your reviews are probably irrelevant.

What a waste of my time. If you are looking for entertainment, give this movie a miss. If you are looking for how targeted attacks have become on a certain section of Hindus, then this movie is for you. The makers now not even hide that its a Muslim guy who is encouraging the Hindu friend to walk away from tradition. I am very surprised Zakir Naik is not thanked for this movie. As soon as you start watching, you can hear him through the various actors. But not surprised as 4 out of 5 Hindi movies on Netflix are bent on sowing seeds of disarray. Movies have been used to propel agenda for a long time. Perhaps the makers now need to realise that common people have started to take these movies as perfect examples to discuss how exactly all this breaking away from traditions is executed. Nayantara was seen as a decent actress until now, but she is probably as bad as Sanya Malhotra or others who actively participate in Hindu bashing. If you are a leftist who enjoys insulting someone who doesn't think like you, likes the fact that Hindus are now used to attack Hindus (the directors name has Krishna FFS!), then this is a 5 star movie

This is a movie thats not even mildly entertaining. I agree with other downvoters of this movie. Classic propoganda where muslims are showed as the nice ones. Even though it may not be obvious at the outset, movies set the societal outlooks. Here's what I think the modus operandi of new age cinema is. Its pretty old in the corporate industry - where we know this as the sandwich treatment. Say a good thing, followed by a bad thing, then another good thing. I think YashRaj films is now synonymous with groups like Hindus for Human Rights. A group whose name makes you think they represent Hindus, would probably speak in favour of them, but comes out and throws punches at Hindus instead. Vicky Kaushal is the husband of Katrina Kaif who is famously known for helping the Congress ministers launder money, from anti national interests. So it is of course expected that he participate in something which attempts to malign Hindus. All in all a movie which has the undertones of yet again establishing the pundits as villains.

This is a general review on Yogananda/YSS/SRF. I believe we all find a Guru who is as authentic as our desire for the God is. While google is the only source these days for any true seeker, I am writing my opinion on this matter so that is something on the internet that can be found by a seeker. Yogananda is a great introduction to kriya yoga, but he doesn't teach the real kriya. I think even he has said his kriya is watered down for western audiences. Yogananda always wanted to become like Swami Vivekananda - which is why his organisation, the way he appears, what he talks draws heavy inspiration from him. And also why he never mentions him anywhere. On the book: Yogananda had to make quite a few iterations to the original script to be able to find anyone to publish it. The end result you see today has a lot of 'magic' added to the book. Sri M in a talk available on youtube compares it to harry potter (search for Talk by Sri M ‘Purpose of Human Life and Ways and Means to Achieve It’ - at the 55 minute mark). Sri M's opinion carries more weight than mine anyway. It is also said when he visited Panchanan Bhattacharya (the only person Lahiri Baba authorised for further initiations) for his interview, he was asked to leave pronto. His one or two line mention of Panchanan Bhattacharya proves this. Same with Tota puri maharaj, despite Yogananda visiting Puri many a time. The drawing of "Mahavatar" Babaji (by the way no one in any of the lineages calls him Maha-avtar), published in his book made its way mischievously. He took one of the paintings his brother made of one of the queens/princesses available in the Calcutta library, gave it a bit of a male touch and called it Mahavatar Babaji. I think there was a bit of an argument on this between his brother and himself. No other authentic lineage of Lahiri Baba uses this image of Babaji. Stones. A person who is peddling kriya, is also peddling stones as a means for people to live a better life! How can a true devotee of God ask anyone to take any other refuge other than His? Burn karma:It is impossible to burn karma. By a true Guru's grace only the intensity can be altered, that too is done in extreme cases. Most Gurus, while they can and sometimes do, do not interfere in His way of running the world. The example he himself gives where Babaji burns one of his devotees with a slight fire, is a direct example of this. How he says kriya burns karma is fascinating and another spice of magic in the book. A slightly scientific bent of mind might argue, how is kriya able to identify only bad karma to be burnt? Take this book as a good intro to kriya and perhaps a few stories about Yogananda, nothing more. Many true masters exist even today. But as said by many, they are mostly hidden in the real world. Only your true and deep desire for God can lead you to them. Getting real kriya is a blessing. I have heard Yogananda represents the sales department. The real product lies elsewhere. Every advertisement is attractive. I am also aware of the responsibility on my shoulders for writing this which is why I have taken great pains in finding all this information from authentic sources.

Its a very very average entertainer, almost leaning towards poor. It starts off interesting almost portraying itself as poverty porn. But starts loosing steam episode 2, minute 1 onwards. In short, watch episode 1 and then 10 and you wouldn't have missed much of acting, suspense, thrill, nothing. If you want to watch an actor who is always appearing like a deer in the headlights then this is a show for you. Plus a Bonus this deer keeps nodding its head the entire bloody show. If the actor was in the entire show for say 300 minutes, a good 250 of it she's just nodded - of course with the look of bewilderment on why the world isn't normal as per her terms. I have to admit, somehow this show seems to appeal to a lot of women, which is why I had to go through the torture of seeing this misery of a show. I gave it a 2 star because the kid in the show was really cute to watch.

I should have known a hindi movie on Netflix is sure to be something that keeps mocking Hindus. The movie is so focused on their narrative of attacking a certain demographic of people of a certain religion, that its very hard to find an actual story line. Not a single character from any other religion. Really? They keep on hammering how some people are just the epitome of humanity. Of course, no mention of reservation by caste system. All in all, just a waste of time with this movie. Also, looks like Sanya Malhotra is now jinxed to keep on acting in substandard movies which keep mocking Hindus. What a waste of 30 minutes of my bandwidth.

I generally enjoy Ravi Teja's movies because of the mass masala factor and that I can sit back relax and entertain myself. This movie was a mixed bag for me. Too many things going on. It was hard to follow the story in a contiguous fashion. Trying not to give away the story, but the actor makes it so hard to follow his multiple characters - moustache in a few scenes - differing voices (for eg., if husky voice was for one shade of the character, that wasn't followed through. Same with moustache). End of it all, while the punch line was delivered I couldn't quite really enjoy the movie for some reason. The "flow" and the entertainment factor was missing. While not cohesive, it was not an absolute waste of my time, hence the 2 stars
