Another terrible movie with an agenda. Disclaimer: I did not choose this movie, you can tell it was going to be trash from the jump. Someone’s sick dream, who also has the money to play it out on-screen with good lighting. None of it was believable. The superficial bad guy/ young primetime fornicator-heartbreaker (with a frozen face) and unprofessional boss never really had to acknowledge his horrible behaviors, including those done over years to the employee/daughter of the elderly involved. He even continued those behaviors and his exact same pattern of being a womanizer, but because he said it wasn't the same, we are supposed to believe that. Because a pattern of behavior over years of time is not actually a pattern of behavior. We are all just judging these shallow books by their covers. As a matter of fact, the abused daughter was blamed as the bad guy for existing and not supporting that specific “relationship” between her evil boss and her elderly mom, as well as, made to apologize for it (thats supposed to be the turning point of the movie). Yea she could have been a little better of a friend to her friend in acknowledging her issues, but I feel like that was thrown in to make us identify her as the “real bad guy”. The bland personality, blonde hair, blue eyed, ghostly, elderly mom somehow has all the “charm” to pull the young guy with a “love at first sight” type of deal. Shes so AMAZING just for existing as my previous description that she makes the evil boss “change” basically overnight. Even shes so smitten, that she compares this to the love she had with her deceased husband. And that is in conversation to her daughter who is broken by the comparison that her evil boss (who shes reported on to her mom several times previous to the “relationship”) could ever be mentioned in the same realm and positive light as the father she loved and missed. The daughter even stated that whats killing her is the fact that its her evil boss who uses women and abuses her, not that her mom was “in love” again. Little bits of info are thrown around to attempt to force the viewer to feel bad for the mom and evil boss. It was TERRIBLE, with a couple of laughs for the stupidity. Someone out there is messed up, alone, and hopes this will happen to them. Theyll keep putting this type of nonsense out to make everybody accept it like they do with everything else on the agenda. If you dont, then you will be the real bad guy.

It was TERRIBLE. Everything was dark and miserable. Main character walked around making the same draggy voice as the miserable girl who, with no purpose in her own life except to be the typical moody broody teen, somehow has the ability to “show him the light”. That entire portion of the plot was annoying. The guy was completely purposeless, mostly brainless, and living a life less interesting than a snail’s, until she comes back as his savior to show him “who he really was”? Where have I heard a premise like this before? Theyre the savior who gives us purpose, whatever they say it should be, and we are the dumb blobs just floating through life just begging for their change, direction, and help. That narrative has been pushed for ages. I’m definitely over it. This whole movie lacks foundation. It tries to trick you with its pretty colors on a dark background and the allure kids have now to trying to be the “standout outcast who was meant for way more but was totally misunderstood”. “I’m an outcast because I’m actually the CHOSEN ONE” type kids. It dragged on and on and the point of the movie is garbage, it doesnt get to a point. Its like trying to converse with someone who can’t follow/hold a genuine conversation but answers with cliches that only they toil with. And on a whole other, but still related note, NO MOMMA LIKE HIS IS LEAVING HIM AT SOME HOUSE OF A FRIEND (ESPECIALLY ONE SHES NOT EVEN SURE HE TALKS TO OR NOT) WITHOUT KNOWING HE WENT IN THE HOME, CALLED THE PARENT BEFORE, TALKED TO THE PARENT AT DROP OFF, AND CALLED THE PARENT DURING THE SLEEPOVER. AND THATS IFFFFFFF YOU EVEN GET TO SLEEPOVER! The guy was hardly an acquaintance. Do you know how hard it was to get your parents to say yes to sleeping over families’ houses that you do know? Then they tried to say this was the 90s. When and where was this happening? And then look at whose house he was going to. ON WHAT PLANET IS THAT EVER HAPPENING THAT WAY ESPECIALLY IN THE 90s? All the director had to do was ask somebody who know. Goes to show you the priorities. It was about blurting out parts of a conversation the director had in their head and believes they’re the most important source material/ smartest person in the room, probably feels “misunderstood”…aka the CHOSEN ONE.
