Never Let Go was such a good movie in such an unexpected way. While it had classic horror movie elements like monsters and jump scares, the true message surrounding the interconnectedness of generational trauma, abuse, and mental health was so beautifully represented as the REAL horror of the world. If you go see this movie, make sure you do it with an open mind so you can see it for what it is. The physical monsters are really scary on their own, but make sure to look deeper too.

This was a horrendously long and boring film. I had high hopes given the star-studded cast and my usual love of Martin Scorsese movies, but I simply couldn't make it through this one. For the first time in my life, I walked out of the theater before the movie was over. I made it to the 2.5 hour mark before nearly falling asleep and subsequently deciding to leave. There are about 1000 better ways to tell the story of the Osage people than to drag audiences through 3.5 hours of anticlimactic whisper scenes. Don't waste your money on this one.
