One of the most amazing adventures ever written. Fortunately, I read the trilogy first and then I watched the movies, so my imagination was not affected by Peter Jackson's interpretation. The Lord of the Rings is one of those stories that capture your imagination reading the first line, and maintain your attention trough the entire narrative. Tolkien created a world that has no imaginative parallels, and didn't age by the passing time, but flourished immensely. With messages such as courage, friendship and the meaning and importance of sacrifice, this is the ultimate hight fantasy adventure!

I used to love this film when I was a kid. I think it's because it was colorful and well animated for my childish mind. However, it's a shallow movie with a shallow story. A complete Karate Kid copy. However, it has to be said: it's not a bad movie at all if you look at with an open mind and an open heart. It's a simple film, just for fun. So, forget your pretensions, and enjoy this simple story. That's all.
