This was a great rom-com. Normally I prefer to watch Chinese historical dramas but once in a while I need to turn my brain off from all the melodrama, killing, jealousy & revenge. Now I had seen Li Xian in Sword Destiny and absolutely loved him in that (although his hairstyle in that drama was atrocious-lol) so I definitely put this show on my “to be watched” list. I thought this show was going to be like Love O2O and while it was similar in that both shows were about computer gamers who were trying to build up their business from the ground up that is where the similarities end. While Love O2O was all happy, cute and cuddly love, Go Go Squid was a angsty, cringey, messy kind of love at the beginning (which is usually how first love kinda is). I just loved the contrast between these two shows. I loved how arrogant & cold Han Shangyan was and how obsessed & awkward Tong Nian was. It made the moment that Han Shangyan realized he liked Tong Nian that much sweeter. I loved the KK team members as well and there was truly some very funny moments with them. Honestly I couldn’t pick a favorite from them because they were all so adorable but I did truly like Little Bai, Grunt & 97 a little more than the rest (but not by much - lol). The bromance in this show was almost as cute as the romance between the main couple. I always love a show about good brotherhood (or sisterhood). Some viewers were a little put off by the flashbacks but I think the flashbacks gave this show a little more depth and certainly explained why Han Shangyan acted like he did. The flashbacks were well done and added a bittersweet feeling to this show. Episode 35 finally really explained why Han was so mad at Solo. I had tears streaming down my face. 😭 I could go on and on about this show but I won’t. All I will add is if you enjoyed Love O2O then you will surely enjoy this drama as well. PS. You don’t have to be a gamer or computer geek to enjoy these shows. This show will now be one of my top rom com alongside Love O2O. PSS. I secretly enjoyed how gruff & grumpy Han Shangyan was on the outside but how sweet & cuddly on the inside. Cmon don’t tell me y’all didn’t melt every time you saw him holding and petting a kitten. I sure did. Lol. PSSS. Tong Nian’s wardrobe was so ugly and ill-fitting in this drama which is a shame because it detracted from the overall cuteness of her character who is supposed to be a huge media star. They should fire the costume designer for this show. 😂

This drama was mentioned many times while I was watching Love Like The Galaxy. While it was not as riveting as LLTG, this drama is really quite good and I appreciated the fact that it was mainly about the struggles of 3 women who were not noble (gasp) or from the upper class of society. Did we still see some plot revolving around the royal family and the court of greedy, corrupt & evil officials, yes! However we also got a realistic and gritty eye opener on how women are treated based on their lineage (or lack of). I honestly wanted to watch this show because of Liu Yifei. I have seen her mainly in movies like The Four (and the sequels) and in Once Upon A Time with Yang Yang and I was impressed with her beauty, her demeanor and voice. I wasn’t disappointed with her acting in this drama. I’m glad they used older actresses for the 3 main characters because they bought dignity and grace to their perspective roles. I am not ashamed to admit that I also wanted to watch this because of Chen Xiao. I’ve only seen him in one drama….The Legend of Lu Zhen and he made such an impression on me that I was delighted to see him again. He and Liu Yifei made such a striking couple in this drama that I eagerly anticipated their scenes. So this show may not be as fast paced or exciting as LLTG but it has an original plot so I was thoroughly entertained. If you like dramas like The Sword and the Brocade and Story of Minglan, then I’m betting you will like this drama as well. PS. I can’t get over how stunning Liu Yifei is. Her acting in this drama was phenomenal. I hope she does more dramas. Also the chemistry between ML & FL was on fire 🔥. There’s something so attractive about Chen Xiao (I’m trying to figure out what it is 😂). I think it’s his eyes and how intense they are 👀. I LOVED THIS COUPLE. I hope Chen Xiao comes out with some new historical dramas too otherwise I’ll have to rewatch this and Legend of Lu Zhen to get my fill of him 😍. PSS. My favorite characters other than the main characters were Chi Yan (hysterical), Chu Dufeng (clueless but lovable), Chen Lían (loyal and adorable) and Gao Zhaodie (cute and spunky…go girl).

What a hysterical show. I’m a minority (Puerto Rican) and so I can relate to some of the stereotypes in this show. Many that do not like this show say that it is racist and offensive to blacks and whites and all I gotta say is can’t you enjoy a show for what it is .....which is pure entertainment. I’m sure that the same people who don’t enjoy this show also didn’t enjoy the George Lopez show either since that show had lots of jokes and stereotypes of Mexican but that was another funny show. Nowadays people are into being sooooo politically correct that it makes my eyeballs itch because instead of looking at the good we are looking for the bad, the ugly and the negative and that makes this a sad place to live. I enjoy this show because it makes me laugh and makes me realize that we are not so different from each other no matter if you are black, white, hispanic or Asian. I love everyone❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

❤️❤️ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS SHOW❤️❤️ The title to this drama should have been "Don't worry, I know what to do". The FML Liu Shiyi kept saying this thru the first half of the series and I thought “what is stopping you?” She kept getting tricked and bullied by Concubine Qiao and just suffering silently and saying “don’t worry I know what to do”. Obviously she didn’t know what to do. Lol. This drama was sort of a mix between Story of Minglan (LOVED IT) and Yanxi Palace (LOVED IT) so I found it very entertaining if somewhat annoying at times with the FML getting bullied and not really doing anything at first. I loved this show even when I didn't know what it was about because of Wallace Chung (loved him in General and I) and Tan Songyun (loved her in Under the Power). This show is about a concubine's daughter who has to marry her dead sister's husband because she wants to protect her nephew and his status as the legitimate heir and also to solve her mom's murder because she believes that her murder is connected to someone from the Marquis' family. Now you know in the old days, a man wasn't satisfied with having one wife, he had to have a legal wife and a dozen concubines (I'm exaggerating but not by much). I was looking forward to see how the FML was going to stick up for herself, make the cold & arrogant Marquis fall in love with her and bring her mother's murderer to justice. It wasn't going to be easy...... Like other reviewers, I was a little dismayed by the age difference between Wallace Chung and Tan Songyun but they definitely implied in the show that there was a huge age gap and the way they developed their relationship on screen slowly but steadily was awesome. I could actually see them being a couple and it not being creepy. They did have good chemistry on screen so I found their romance believable. PS. Wallace Chung is way older, but he looks young for his age and so gorgeous❤️😍😘 . So if you like royal family drama with concubines scheming left and right and some political intrigue along the way, then you will definitely enjoy this drama. I know I did and I am off to watch Rebel Princess which was mentioned many times in the comments of this drama so......I have to see if it is as entertaining as this one was. I’m sad to end this show. I hope to see Wallace Chung in more historical dramas. He is sooooo drool worthy 🤪 lolol.

Love & Redemption has been compared to Ashes of Love. Not gonna lie, loved this drama more than Ashes of Love. I had never seen a drama with Cheng Yi but gotta say that I will be on the lookout for any dramas with him in it. I loved his portrayal of Yu Sifeng. I liked how he fell in love so quickly and how he was always a gentleman with Chu Xuanji even when he felt betrayed by her. He was very gentle & sincere with her even when he had a right to be angry and feel betrayed. Plus who wouldn’t love a man that sacrifices his life in every reincarnation? I will agree with most of the comments on Viki while watching this drama.....Sifeng has the most expressive eyes. I could feel his sadness, happiness, anger etc by looking at his eyes. As for Crystal Yuan who plays Chu Xuanji, I've seen her in a few shows but did not like her character in Listening Snow Tower (although I loved that drama). When I saw that she was going to be the main character in this drama, I did not want to watch it. However, I totally loved her character in this drama especially when playing a character that is deprived of her six senses. She was cute, funny, adorable and didn't get on my nerves. When she was God of War she was a badass just like Zhao Liying in Princess Agents. I love ❤️ a woman that can take care of herself and not always have to rely on the ML to come on a white horse and rescue her….Well you get where I’m coming from. The one character that got on my nerves was her sister Linglong. I appreciated how protective Linglong was of Xuanji but I did not like her overall temperment. To be honest, she acted like a whiny, bratty teenager with anger management issues and for the life of me, I couldn't understand why Little Six loved her so much or how Wu Tong was so obsessed with her (although Wu Tong was just a masochist and he liked dealing with her bad temper). Personally I kinda wouldn’t have minded if she ended up with Wu Tong. Lol. Click like if you agree with me on this. Hahaha 😝 I won't go into details about what the show is about but I will tell you that it was awesome. It was like bits and pieces of Ashes of Love, Love & Destiny & Ten Miles of Peach Blossom. I really enjoyed the plot and there were many likeable characters (Li Yuan ex disciple of Lize Palace, Ting Nu the merman, & Teng Shi Xuanji’s adorable blonde haired spirit beast to name a few) to root for. The CGI and fight scenes were well executed and if you didn't read reviews or synopsis of this show beforehand then you will enjoy it even more because there are quite a few surprises & secrets that come tumbling out as the show progresses. I'm just mad at myself that I didn't watch this sooner but I'm glad I did because now it is one of my top wuxia drama of all time. I'm off to watch another drama of Cheng Yi.......because......yeah he is that good of an actor and romantic lead. PS. I was kinda jealous of Crystal Yuan…..so…….lol 😍

What a great drama. Sorta reminds me of Journey of Flower where the main character who happens to be a god falls in love with a girl that they know is fated to destroy their world as they know it. You gotta love that they always pick the girl regardless of the consequences. I wanted to watch this one because of Ni Ni who portrays Ling Xi (half god half demon). She played her part of a simple, kind-hearted, naive girl to perfection that I didn't hate her when she acted desperate or got into trouble. Normally when the girls in these show try to act all cutesy I roll my eyes but I couldn't with Ni Ni. She was just so pretty and adorable. Plus I watched her in The Rise of the Phoenixe (one of my all time favorites - if you haven't watched it on Netflix then you should or you are missing out) and she was SOOOOOOO good. I'm so glad that they picked Chang Chen to play Jiu Chen - God of War. Many commenters were saying how he was so old and not handsome. All I have to say to those folks...."are you blind?". The character he portrayed and his mannerisms reminded me of Mark Cho as Ye Hua in TMOPB. He was so serious, stoic, noble & heroic that when he actually laughed or smiled, I was grinning like a silly fool. He is very rugged & handsome and I am glad that they picked him over a cute "flower boy". While watching him I kept thinking of how memorable his face is and thru the comments I learned that he mainly acts in movies. Then I saw he was in three of my favorite Chinese movies (Brotherhood of Blades, Red Cliff and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). No wonder I was so mesmerized by him even though I didn’t recognize him at first. He just has that kind of face……so fine. 😍 LOL Overall I loved this drama as it also had vibes of TMOPB but was a different story altogether. I loved the second lead couple (Yu Feng & Qing Yao) and fell in love with a few of the characters like Le Bo, Shi san & Si Ming. In particular these secondary characters gave the show some light-hearted & comedic moments that needed to offset all the drama going on with Ling Xi & Jiu CHen. I Kinda liked Jing Xiu too even though most of the time I was trying to figure out if he was a villain or just a tragic character. His backstory made it kind of hard to hate him 💯 percent and I totally digged the bald head w/tattoos. Lol. 😂 If you haven't watched it yet then I say watch it because you will chuckle and smile at this adorable couple and also check out Ni Ni in The Rise of the Phoenixes (that show is totally of the hook and you will like her strong & determined character in that show and also the main lead Chen Kun - smoking hot 🔥 ). I watched many CDramas where the main couple would do anything for each other but this couple was so selfless that it was so sad but at the same time so heartwarming. One of the best OTP I have seen, the costumes gorgeous, the scenery breathtaking, the CGI pretty good and the OST on point and so beautiful. PS. Can’t stop gushing about this show. I wished I would have watched it sooner. Definitely at the top of my list for fantasy dramas alongside TMOPB, Journey of Flower, Ashes of Love, Legend of Fuyao and Ice Fantasy to name a few.

One of the best legal/revenge k dramas that I have seen. The 4 main characters (Sang Pil, Jae Yi, Cha Moon Sok & Ahn Oh Joo) were portrayed to perfection and I'm ashamed to admit it that I felt kind of sorry for one of the villains (Ahn Oh Joo) even though he committed so many crimes. I guess that goes to show you how good the actor was. He really got into the role and I just loved his voice and his swagger. He was a true OG. The pace of the romance between Sang Pil and Jae Yi was great and so very natural. I loved these two together. It was just an all around great drama. I put this up there with Healer. If you haven't watched it...go & watch it...you will be hooked by the first episode. PS. Can someone send me Lee Joon Gi so I can "fatten" him up just a little. I heard he lost a lot of weight for this role but he was just so darn skinny but still very good looking. Loved him!!!!!!!!

Although this show was before Lawless Lawyer it was just as good. While Lawless Lawyer was about a man getting his revenge for his mother's death, Two Weeks was about a young man who finds out that he has a daughter who has cancer and will die if she doesn't get a bone marrow blood transfusion. The man trying to make up for not being in his daughter's life finds out he is a match but needs to stay out of trouble and healthy in time to donate the bone marrow. Now you know that those two weeks are going to be hell because the man is accused of murdering an undercover agent. He soon finds out that he is being framed by the same gangster who caused him to lose his girlfriend and their unborn baby. What follows is like a Korean version of The Fugitive. This show certainly had it all murder, assassins, OGs (old gangsters and I mean old-haha), smuggling, drugs, spies, you name it and they had it. I just love Lee Jong Gi and his acting gets better with each show I see him (he is right up there with Ji Sung). The love story is just the right amount of flashback, regrets and sappy moments. I loved Park Ha-Sun in her role. The required love triangle was a little harder for me this time because I felt like it was not triangle but a rectangle with Lee Joon Gi, Park Ha Sun, Ryu Soo Young and Lee Chae Mi (little Soo Jin). That little girl was what made this thriller drama different than others. She was just an "old soul" wrapped up in a tiny body and I can't say enough about her acting-LOVED HER. If you watch this show make sure to bring some hankies because you will need them. Don't say I didn't warn you! Also keep an eye out for that sneaky Congresswoman. Even after watching the show I still can't decide who I hated more, her or Moon Il Seok. I definitely wanted to smack that smirk off her face....so.......LOL

I love this show because it reminds me of the 80’s which in my opinion is one of the best decade ever. I started watching this after I finished with The Middle (one of my favorite sitcoms ever). This show filled that void perfectly. What makes this sitcom a little different than others is that it is based on real life. I love to see the ending scenes (usually video clips) with the actual people like Beverly Goldberg. Most episodes give me such a feeling of nostalgia for anything related to the 80’s especially tv shows & music. Some of my favorite episodes are: 1. The whole family singing the theme to Golden Girls and Murray drooling over Blanche. Who can’t relate to that? 2. Beverly doing her version of Flashdance. I was cringing while laughing my head off. 3. Speaking of Flashdance what about the episode where Beverly tries to ban Dirty Dancing at the school dance and Erica falls into a table because Geoff couldn’t catch her during that famous Patrick Swayze move at the end of the movie. 4. Barry and Adam making fun of Erika because she was a New Kids on the Block fan and them becoming hardcore fans, I really loved the video clip at the end of this episode showing Adam Goldberg singing & dancing to Hangin Tough. So priceless. 5. Adam thinking he is cool because he is wearing the Michael Jackson jacket from Beat It to a party to impress his friends. LOL. There are so many more priceless scenes like the ones I’ve mentioned but you can watch the show for yourself and reminisce like I do. My favorite characters were Beverly, Pops, Geoff and Matt Bradley. Who are yours???
