Without the little blonde boy it would have been a flop! Michael banks now has thick wavy black hair as an adult, but as a child in the first film, he had strawberry blonde thin' straight hair!.. There is little indication as to what happened to the Mother of Michael Banks children, or as to why Jane Banks.. lives with them, as she is his sister!.. In one scene Mary Poppins is seen holding a case ..but not long after hasn't got it anymore..but we don't see her put it down.. Continuity problems!?.. Did it vanish into thin air in between ? No the voice is not pitch perfect ...certainly at the beginning..
