I absolutely enjoyed this book. I haven’t been reading for quite some time but one of the reasons I like to read is to escape. I don’t want to dive into some hectic plot with confusing, ‘original’ characters. I just want to kick my feet up and sink into something light, fun, and engaging. I just want to lose myself in the words and the plot, I don’t want to over-analyse and try to predict things before they happen. This book was amazing for that. Some people are saying the characters and the plot were too predictable, or the plot was wasted, etc. and I completely understand that people should have their own opinions, but some readers also just want to escape into something easy, enjoyable, and entertaining, where they don’t have to think too hard.
This book was excellent on so many levels for me. I loved the banter, the jokes, the plot, and the bubbling romance predicted through an A trope portrayed amazingly, you barely even think about the romance as you’re so immersed in the plot and then when it happens it’s just the cherry on top to this wonderful story.
I say give this book a chance, if you don’t like it that’s perfectly okay, not everything is for everyone. But if you also just want to relax with an amazing storyline then I absolutely recommend this book.
Just give it a chance and you can decide if it’s worth the hype or not.
