I saw the film at the Grand Lake theatre in Oakland at a matinee. Oppenheimer is a three hour movie and it turned out to be a solemn event which the audience seemed to have enjoyed. I saw some really great acting by such actors as Matt Damon, Emily Blunt in a sympathetic role as the spouse of Robert Oppenheimer and Robert Downey, Jr.
The atmosphere of the film was mostly in grey tones and very serious—too serious to my liking. However, I am glad I spent three hours in the dark watching great actors.
