Cliché. Two main characters share a lonely summer together, through fate and fear of their destinies ahead.
It was odd to see the two act outside of their character to please eachother. They had little in common to begin with, so it makes sense that they fell out before a real reason to be friends could emerge.
I just do not think that it was worth the time or money to see this film. A little nostalgia for Long Island was nice, but the film capitalized on finding a niche audience intent on losing its virginity and it was predictable, dismissive and ugly at times.
Wait for it on Hulu. Don't watch it with your kids. It's awkward.
