Something was a miss. Purple Noon and Minghellas versions were unforgettable. I was expecting a deeper connection to the obsession and oddity of Damon and Law's portrayal. Beautiful cinematography though.

Awesome flick! A worthy 'prequel'. Great acting. Great visuals (minus 1 star for digital fx). Amazing sound! Get to the theatre...now!!

Poor acting. Bad writing. Lazy writing. Quick cuts. Not plausible events (even though its SW). Only two episodes in and it does not look good for the future. Skeptic? Not usually. May the force be with this show!

Awesome visuals. Great characters. Dark and twisted story line accompanied by a glimpse of a dark underworld of ultraviolence. Cliff Martinez's score is killer.

The book is a treasure. The movie was beautifully tragic. It was cinematic, poetic at times and was fairly true to the novel. This is not a Marvel movie.

Gritty. Unsettling. Depressing. Safdie's are known for dark gritty movies but this one was a bit disconnected for me. Sandler was great. The ensemble cast supported Sandler well. Tough movie to watch.
