I know I’m very late but I’m going to give my full review, it’s going to be very VERY long. So I know that Colleen Ballinger is cancelled rightfully so for grooming, exploitation, and pedophilia. Her stupid TV show exemplified everything that got her cancelled years before she got cancelled. Firstly, it’s not funny at all. I know this is targeted to children (which is wrong and I’ll get to it soon) but that doesn’t justify the dry, horrible, and inappropriate jokes. Secondly, almost every character is SUPER unlikable. Miranda is an insufferable, untalented, selfish person who cares about no one but herself. She is also very delusional as she thinks one video of her butchering “Defying Gravity” will make her famous. She has no sensitivity of appreciation for those around her and follows the notion that she’s better than everyone. I did not like her mother Bethany. I get that her kidneys were failing (Miranda donated one to her but was still rude to her mother afterwards) but she was a terrible mother to her daughters. She faked having fibromyalgia, she never disciplined Miranda for her poor and terrible behaviours and she NEVER appreciated anything her other daughter Emily did for her! Literally in the first episode, Emily said she paid for the electric bill and NO ONE thanked her, Bethany and everyone else berated her for “having a low sensitivity meter.” Miranda’s uncle Jim is giving creepy pedophile vibes; the worst part is that that’s the joke. Joking about a creepy and pedophilic uncle is so overused and is extremely disgusting and disrespectful. He enables Miranda’s behaviour and should honestly be sent to jail or at least be investigated. Now let’s get to how inappropriate this show is. The amount of sexual innuendos this show contains, mind you a CHILDREN’S show is completely absurd. They joke about chest sizes, pedophilia, sexualized Annie (the character from Annie the Musical who’s a child in that play), joked about the creepy uncle, the “Lick My Taco” costume, etc. I’m a teen and I believe that if any parent thinks this is ok…either something is wrong or you have a HORRIBLE sense of humour. That’s all I’m going to say right now but I don’t recommend this show at all. Please don’t show this to your children, just don’t watch it, it’s a complete waste of time and you’ll save your ears, brain, and eyes. Also, please don’t support Colleen Ballinger, she’s a horrible human being and is a threat to children (if you don’t know, she texted minors in a group chat, send an underaged boy lingerie, and spoke about sex to these underaged boys). Your children should watch good kids shows that are 100% family friendly, have good humour, is enjoyable, and teaches excellent morals not burning garbage.
