Leah James

Three seemingly close knit women in their early 40s share an uncomfortable memory of one night when they were teenagers. The younger versions of these ladies are brilliantly cast, and flashbacks to the early 2000s are very convincing. I enjoyed each storyline behind the central characters, along with glorious Sydney and Thirroul beachside scenes. The inner life of a debut author and the consequences of her book's revelations are particularly compelling.

A fun, not too serious take on the 1980s movie. Tom Cruise looks great too.
