It’s like a Peter Greenaway movie ..... surreal nonsense, abject tosh historically, and clearly intentionally meant to draw attention and controversy ... towards the director .... I don’t buy into the Coleman masterclass at all .... both of the girls steal the film on equal measure .... strange gratuitous same sex for shock purposes (consult the director on that one), the cinematography quite beautifully and richly shot with unsurpassed attention to detail sets and design .... I found the music tediously annoying in many places with its electronic mono pulse dirge ... in the end, this film, like many of the big studio hype-offs, will come and go and will be forgotten about pretty quickly .... as an aside, I’m totally in love with Emma Stone ... I have no idea why, but she just owns the screen. Only one mans opinion ....
