Love the book!!! The story is captivating. A tale of two girls who have only ever know each other for comfort and protection are now separated and facing new trials and over coming difficulties to be the best they can be and find their way back to each other. Gaining new experiences and friendships and for along the way. I couldn’t put this book down and I also just finished the second one loved it as well and I can’t wait for the last one!!!! ****spoiler****** There is a scene in this book where Nox the only POC at this moment in the story is whipped. Lots of people have called out the author for being racist, and don’t get me wrong I cringed at that spot too, but if you actually read the book you we’ll see that is not true. A large portion of the charters once you get into the book are POC and hold high positions within society it’s just where it’s starts is in a prejudice land but the book itself is not racist.
