Thank God for the Revolution! Where to begin? Soft porn, cheesy scripts, wooden acting, strange props (Primark jewellery and royal blue ankle socks!), ever present “serious docudrama” music and too many talking heads. I hope Simon Sebag-Montefiore has disassociated himself from it.
(Only interesting moments were from spotting actors - many of them Scottish - from other shows: The Czar/ Jacko in Gary Tank Commander; Prince Yusopov/ Patrick in River City; Prime Minister Stolypin/Tommy in Line Of Duty and best of all, Grand Duke Sergei/ Boaby the Barman in Still Game!)
