This book is informative but it’s clear this author has zero qualifications to talk about indigenous tribes and their history within the Joshua tree and its surrounding reservations. He calls native tribes “primitive” and consistently calls them “Indians” despite native people consistently informing the masses that they prefer to be called tribesmen or indigenous peoples. If you’re going to write about Native Americans and their people the very least you could do is do the proper research not to offend them. Read something written by a native person not this white under qualified James Kaiser.
