I learned a lot about what my Father went thru at the age of 25 years old. He joined the Marines after Pearl Harbor, even though he had a baby & 3yr daughter at home. Of Course he never talked about his time overseas and never watched any war movies, which at the time I did not understand. I am so thankful Bob wrote this book and finally at 83 years old I understand more & look forward to reading the rest of Bob Kern's books.
