I absolutely loved the film and spoke on so much i was frustrated with regarding men and the patriarchy. To say there are no flaws with the film would be a lie but I think there isn't really a way to keep everyone happy. I made my inner child very happy, growing up barbie was everywhere and even though i insisted I was a tomboy for the better part of my childhood, I adored barbies. I think the movie captures both the good and bad of barbie and it's effects on society very well. I think while the adaptation of "the real world" was slightly exaggerated to make a point and to fit the plot it was very much what a lot of women experience.I find it kind of hilarious that most of the 1 star reviews are from men but I don't find it at all surprising. They say it was man hating and while yes it was strongly feminist the idea was never women is better than men (if you actually watched the movie you would know) I get that men feel like all the Kens are stereotypical and to be fair it would've been nice to have a more of like "allan" however it wasn't completely terrible. I feel like i have so much more to say but honestly i cant be bothered anymore.
