Excellent and timely guide for anyone working across borders and cultures. The narrative is a collection of personal stories interwoven as they describe a learning process of self-development and awareness. Written with great observational, wry humor and self-deprecation, the book does not carry the typical preaching of business non-fiction. It's light yet concise, with plenty of content that I flew through in a few days. Many of the stories and lessons resonated with me as I have aspired and struggles to build a career in Asia as a Westerner. Although this is the perspective the book is written from, the handy lessons at the end of chapters are timeless and applicable to anyone.
