Absolutely fantastic. I am not sure why the critics were so harsh... yes the old animated version is still beloved and perhaps they had high expectations and were looking for things to criticize in comparison to the animated film... Overall, great acting. Aladdin was casted wonderfully. Very fun. Keep in mind this is made for children, and the critics who complained and wanted a more "evil" Jafar again, they are forgetting this is Disney, not Game of Thrones.
