A visually stunning and enjoyable film. I love that it was self-funded as it gave space for Jennifer to create real art from her heart which often goes missing when someone gets as big as her and they answer upwards. This felt like an authentic piece of art. I write this as an artist who is very sensitive to other artists and the energy and imprint they leave within their artwork. I always seek out the layers of authenticity in any piece and it’s evident when the work is lost to “pleased the masses”. I look for the imperfections that make the creation real to the artist. This film has that. Go watch it and when you do, expect that it is both personal and vulnerable as all real creative pieces are. It’s not simply a high budget production meant to entertain. It’s truly from the personal collection of experiences and that expression in art can make people uncomfortable. Lean into it.
