Simple premise sure but it definitely was executed well, and as someone who hasn't seen many good alligator "monster" movies and seeing the trailer with Sam Raimi's name attached to it I went in with enthusiasm and it delivered. Some cheesy moments sure but it gets through that very quick and add some literally bone crunching scenes and the alligators themselves just fit so well with the dark tone of the film and they were terrifying when they were doing what they do best as a apex predator. If your a horror fan who loves watching those more realistic mother nature/ survival films but also fun film than this will be the movie for you. Definitely a recommended movie for me and one of the top movies I have seen this year

As a horror fan myself, I gotta say the simple slasher cat and mouse premise this movie has works, it's scenery, creepy imagery and the overall tone and sounds of the movie are awesome. This movie knows what it is and doesn't fail to deliver on the scares and the hair raising tension. This movie is such a breath of fresh air for movies in this sub genre of horror that make it to the big screen that is safe for mainstream audiences. Well won't complain about that here. Art is such a straight forward yet complex character and the insanity he portrays should make him an iconic character. This movie was just plain awesome and I can't wait to see what they decide to do in the future 👍

I personally enjoyed the hell out of this movie. I will admit my expectations for movies can be heightened but this movie exceeds all expectations. Seeing that DC comics logo really would throw people off because this isn't a comic book movie, this is using a dystopian future combined with ugly elements of humanity such as racism, total domination, chaos and hunger for power and combine that with a tight story and great characters and a masked figure that will definitely be a notable character for many years. Overall a very solid film and definitely falls within my all time favorite movie list.

As a horror fan even basic slasher storylines I do appreciate and I gotta say I really enjoyed this series, there are at times when the story does disappear a bit but it know what it is, a crazy gory action series filled with characters that keep you guessing and all have their own creepy side plots and motivations. I reckon alot are going to compare this to AHS but personally aside from the horror anthology aspect I feel it is totally different. This feels more straight to the point, doesn't slow down and not only who is the killer but why is even more interesting and suspenseful. If your a slasher horror fan and want to watch a crazy show. I would definitely watch it. You will have a awesome time. 👍

Definitely a refreshing show by adding an anthology show combined with an underlying theme of the advancements of technology and the influences it has over humanity. One huge advantage of being an anthology show is the many different genres and themes this show explores thus making each episode cater to a different audience. As for the show itself I loved it, some episodes I love more than others but overall a show with a big gut punch after every episode. Definitely a must watch 👍👍

It's a very weird movie in terms of what it's marketed to, is it for people against video games violence and themes or is it made for gaming enthusiasts. Is it appealing or taking a jab at gamers. As a movie some of the dialogue is a little disjointed and overall plot and its world doesn't seem to be clear. The casting is well done though, but overall if you want a stylistic action movie that isn't boring this is the movie for you Overall I cant say it's a bad movie you get what is advertised but I wouldn't say its a good movie.

As a Saw fan in high school I enjoyed the series as a whole, however getting more into horror I did realize that where the first 3 I'd say and maybe even the fourth had a psychological element and sense of entrapment, alot of them were just seeing how can we make a more elaborate and bigger trap than the last. This one does exactly everything wrong that the Saw movies had. This one felt so CG and lost everything that made it tense. The dialogue and acting and just the implausible scenes and the hard to swallow motives just made this so watered down that if it wasn't for the name SAW in the title it would go straight to DVD. It did exactly what the 3D one did and not really follow on from what made the story and tried to do its own thing. But once horrors get to that number of sequels than your either watching it for what it is or you check out. So if your still a die hard fan than I suppose you'll like it. However for horror fans who have a huge knowledge base to compare this to, a comparison couldn't even be made. This is very low probably bottom of the Saw ladder for me personally.

I personally am a fan of the original however I will admit I'm not a die hard fan like most people are so when going into this remake it felt less like a remake and more of just a stand alone horror story. Right off the bat this movie is awesome, still manages to pull out a little twist in the first five minutes which I enjoyed e a remake where they can fall prey to being a beat by beat modern version of a story we have seen. There is hardly any moments where I roll my eyes, and the situations I can swallow, especially with the slow burning moments where the character affected had a reason for the others not to believe her. Overall the kills will over satisfy gore hungry fans and the pacing never slows down, overall in terms of remakes this one is right up the top but as a horror movie it definitely delivers. Off the top of my head there is very little I can say against this movie.

I will say I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, comparing it to Alien and Aliens is a bit of a no brainer, Taking the script as it is I do believe it expands on the world and offers a interesting backstory behind the creation of the Xenomorphs and the other species we see in this movie. It's definitely a more serious movies than the other Alien movies that have followed on from the second. David (Fassbender) was an interesting character and the interaction between the characters made then feel like real people. That being said, for a movie that's trying to be that smart and deep, the cliche horror moments just doesn't really mix with what it's trying to accomplish. It does have Gore and show you exactly how violent these Aliens can be. The complaints about this movie I get it but as a film I think it's definitely one of the better ones in regards to a film of this nature. Still has me interested for the next installments.

There is no doubt that this is another action movie with alot of similarities from the original first installment Pitch Black, but I gotta say as sci-fi horror and actions go, this one definitely has more to add to the genres, doesn't get boring, no mucking around with the pacing, and the action is very entertaining, my only real complaint is the last 30 seconds of the movie felt rushed but overall some really good looking set pieces, some good slick humor and violent action scenes that shouldn't leave fans of the character Riddick disappointed. Solid movie all the way through, in terms of what it is and not trying to be more than what it is, I'd give this a 4/5 stars honestly
