This game is just a complete unfinished mess. I’ve been playing the forza franchise since the very first one on the first Xbox. In this one, the driving dynamic feels better than the other forza games, but that’s about it. Not many new tracks, not many new cars and just not much to do really. It’s just “race on a circuit” type of game and the game only rewards that. You can build a drift car but it is completely useless since there are no drifts events and drifting doesn’t even give you XP. Same for a drag car, you can build one if you want to but where are you going to do drag races? There are no drag strips at all in this game. NONE. It’s completely useless. Oh and if ever you still feel like building a drift car or drag car for some reason… you have to level up your car to in order to unlock car parts and the ONLY way to do that is by racing circuit races for…. HOURS with this car. So you have this car that you only want to drift with but you gotta do these annoying circuit races with it to finally after all this work be able to built it and not even having a event to play in with it. So pointless and so frustrating. This levelling system sucks big time and makes me not want to play this game at all. How many hours I spent on the other forza games, building cars and tuning them, selling some, buying something else. Trying to build fun cars just for fun, like a drift limo or an AMC Gremlin that can do wheelies.. it’s just not possible in this game anymore. It sucks. Also, in the past Forza games alway had at least one or two special tracks, like Mount Fuji and the top gear track in forza 4, Rio in forza 6, Dubai in forza 7… in this one nothing at all. Not even the nurburgring nordschleife at the moment…. And….. there is more! For a game that claims to be new from the ground up, it is simply not true. Not at all. Just a big fat lie. A lot of the car models are the same since forza 4, the paint customization system is exactly the same has forza 7, nothing new in it, they didn’t even bother changing the layout to make it feel new. Just a good old copy paste from the previous game and you can’t even paint your car black, the darkest colour is a dark gray (?????). Also, old driving dynamic that were wrong in the previous games are back in this one, per exemple, when you drive slowly, your car has the wheels you chose for it, but then if you go faster the wheel of your car change! Not the same wheels to make they animation smoother. And if you drive slowly, like at 30km/h, the tires are screaming so loud… same has previous games. The lighting system is bad when you set it up to “noon”. The colours are so flat, no reflexions or shadows. I mean… you get my point. A very disappointing game and just not a finished one. I might revisit it in a few months to see if they ended up finishing it and making changes to make it a fun game to play, but for now I’m done.
